Survivors are the protagonist characters in Judgment: Apocalypse Survival Simulation. At first you only control a small group of three survivors; very soon you can save and recruit other people who survived the first demon attack. Every survivor is randomly generated, and later on you can customize their appearance and names.
Survivors have three different stats: Health, Food and Sleep. Health represents how much damage a character can sustain before dying. Characters can loss Health in combat or when suffering damage for other reasons, such as lack of sleep or hunger, and can recover it by eating, receiving treatment in the infirmary or receiving first aid in combat. Food and Sleep are a measure of a survivor’s hunger and need of rest: when any of them reaches 0, a character will need to satisfy that need or start losing Health.
A Survivor’s Profession mark his or her specialty, preferred Tasks and Skills tree. There are five different professions: Fighters, Engineers, Priest, Survivalist and Ocultist. Fighters are more skilled in all kind of weapons and prefer Training and Patrolling over other activities. Engineers prefer to Build, Craft and Research. Priests prefer Occult Research and Farming, Survivalists are specially useful for Gathering, Farming and Fetching Water. Occultists are best at Occult Research and Rituals.
Survivors can gain experience by different means: fighting, taking part in missions, working, training… Once a character gain a certain amount of experience, he or she earns a new level and picks a new Skill. Survivors can gain 5 levels of experience.
Skills are traits and perks that improve a survivor’s performance in a particular field, be it Tasks, use of different weapons, discretion, sight… Characters pick up a new skill (out of 2 or 3) every time they level up.
