Even before the fall, the Smith 500 was considered an exceptional and unique handgun, a pistol powerful enough to rival hunting rifles and take down any animal known to man. While now it is used to hunt far more exotic game, the Smith 500, with a 10-inch barrel, is still a terrific - if somewhat unwieldy - choice.
Despite its brutal strength, the Smith 500 is considered a Pistol. It is the first pistol in the game that requires the Rare Firearm Skill to use.
In Judgment, the Smith 500 is a rare Tier IV Weapon that survivors can find and use in combat.
